The Times reported Greek Tourism Minister Harry Theoharis saying that Greece is ready to welcome back British tourists who have been twice vaccinated and have a handwritten NHS card, according to greekcitytimes.com.
The NHS card must indicate the person’s name, the vaccine they have been given and the dates they were vaccinated.
Nevertheless, a spokesperson for Theoharis told Sky News that only official documentation would be acceptable – and that the Greek government’s understanding is that a UK health certificate will become available.
They noted: “We accept only official documents issued by the competent British authorities that prove the vaccination particulars.”
Greece currently accepts British tourists who have a vaccination certificate or a negative COVID-19 test that is no older than 72 hours from arrival.
